Al Plourde - Keys
Al grew up in Miami when the main highways were just dirt roads where he started playing the organ at 5, and by 7 he was the principal organist for his church. Al played in several bands through high school and college until being drafted into the military. He recalls his most important gig was the one where this crazy Go-Go dancer pestered him for a date and they been together ever since.
Al retired from the military after 24 years in 1994 and today is active with the "Veterans for Peace."
Being more involved in music the past 6 years Al has re-discovered a love for the blues and the Hammond Organ. Al's influences include Al Kooper, Felix Cavaliere, Jimmy Smith, Steve Winwood, and Greg Allman.Gear: Keyboards: Hammond XK-Pro, Roland RD-700 SX, Ensoniq MRX -76 Amps: Two Roland KC-350's in stereo, Leslie 2100 system
